Faith Is Justice In Fact

We know many intellectuals around us. When you discuss them about any topic in the world, it feels like they know that topic and field very closely. They always have arguments to prove their point. And they seem like a storehouse of information and confidence. Most of them separate religion and the world by making a middle way for themselves. If they understand everything with reasoning, then enough logical reasons are there to bring human beings closer to their Lord. Despite having rational thinking, most of their life will appear against Allah’s will. This open defiance is a sign of unfairness. Faith is justice in fact. If life affairs are against the code of belief, it means justice is not being done with knowledge. And that person is not a true believer but a hypocrite.
Past summary:
In the previous article, we started our research with the question:
Who are those people who, despite having both knowledge and wisdom, deny the truth and lie about Allah?
To answer this question, we studied verses 75, 76, and 77 of Surah Yunus in detail. These verses identified the people who first denied the truth with their psychology and attitude. With the revelations and bright miracles given to Moses (A.S.) and Aaron (A.S.), the “Truth” became clear to all the kings and chieftains, like a heartfelt certainty that could not be denied. But they did not endorse the fact because of their arrogance and cruelty (injustice) and said “This is magic.”
I am re-entering those verses to keep the whole point of the previous article in mind. So that the next discussion can be started with the flow.
Then We sent Moses and Aaron with Our revelations to Pharaoh and the chiefs of his (people), but they behaved arrogantly and they were criminal people. Then the truth came to them from us, so they said: Surely this is an open magic. Moses said: Do you say (this) about the truth when it came to you? Is it magic? However, magicians do not prosper. Surah Yunus - (75-76-77)
Trick of unwise people:
We see this behavior around us more often. When two parties are arguing about two opposite things, after some time when one of them is about to prove wrong, instead of accepting the other’s point of view, they turn the matter in another direction. Then they give an excuse instead of an argument. The same thing was done by the pharaohs and chiefs of that time. When they realized that Moses (A.S.) and Aaron (A.S.) were on the right. And in response to Moses’s question “Is this magic?” they did not have any argument, so they also presented an excuse, which Allah SWT mentioned in the next verse.
They said: have you come to us to turn us from the (way) on which we found our forefathers, and you two may have power in the land? While we are not going to believe in both of you. (Yunus - 78)
Allah SWT has told us a lot in this verse.
1) Their excuse was a cover story:
The first thing is, when they do not accept the truth even though they recognize it and are about to lose the debate. They don’t have any further arguments, so they make lame excuses to cover their injustice and arrogance. And tell the reason that we found our forefathers doing this.
2) Blind hearts:
Secondly, if they were kind and humble people, they would have witnessed the truth. But they do not accept the truth because they didn’t want to do so. This is indicated by the last part of the verse, “While we are not going to believe in both of you”, as they were announcing the decision of their hearts. That anything should be presented to us and whatever it would be. We are not going to listen to you! They do not ask questions to know the truth but to deny it.
3) They choose to earn this world:
The third and very important thing that is being pointed out in this verse is the nature of mankind, due to which he makes mistakes. “Lust of self” and “love of this world” that prevail over Allah’s will. When they realized that the words of Moses (A.S.) are the facts and that if they accept the truth, then Moses (A.S.) will be better than them. So the position, honor, and kingship that they are holding should be transferred to Moses (A.S.). Because then the command should go to the one who is the best among all. And it was not acceptable to their ego. So they accused Moses (A.S.) that he was doing all this in the desire for power, while they knew that Moses (A.S.) was only presenting the truth to them. He was not asking for any reward or power. But by giving the excuse of the forefathers, accusing Moses (A.S.) of authority, they belied Moses (A.S.) and denied their Lord who created them. They preferred the love of this world over the friendship of ALLAH SWT. Of course, this was cruelty and they were doing this cruelty to themselves.
No Doubt, They themselves were responsible:
So far we have studied the behavior and reasons of the king and chiefs in detail. This study of their behaviors and reasons was necessary because we are trying to know:
What is in the control of a man and if there is nothing in the control of man, then how is he responsible for his actions?
Here it has become clear to us that these well-to-do people of the society decided to deny the right and they themselves are responsible for this decision.
How does this corruption spread?
These influential people were called “corrupters and spreaders of corruption” by Allah SWT. So let’s get back to what we ended the previous article with.
How does corruption spread from these corrupters and who are the people who join them and deny the truth?
Is the responsibility also on them?
Let us turn to the Quran to get the answers.
Only nefarious supports the nefarious:
When talking about kings and chiefs who are undoubtedly influential people in society. They have wealth, fame, honor, leadership, dominance, and everything that can be desired by any world-seeking soul. The standards of success in this world are everything that these influential people have.
All those people in society who consider this success of the world as a real success, also want to achieve the same. Their kings are role models for them and they even want to look like them. So for them, these kings and chiefs are worthy of imitation.
When the virtues, attitudes, manners, faults, and even every behavior of these chiefs become worth following for the rest of the society. Then it is obvious that their cruelty, arrogance, and the decision to deny the truth are not limited to them, but spread. Those weak people who consider these kings high-minded, follow their decisions blindly. Allah SWT has explained this in the following words while narrating the story of Moses (A.S.) and Pharaoh in another place in the Qur’an:

Then he (Pharaoh) bluffed his people and they obeyed him. Undoubtedly, all of them were wicked. (Al-Zuhruf - 54)
They all were wicked:
At the end of this verse, Allah SWT has used the word “fasqeen” instead of “mufsideen”.
Fasqeen means “unjust or wicked”.
And Allah SWT said all of them were fasqeen. That means those who follow these kings and chiefs are on the same path of being cruel and unjust. Only a cruel person can be unjust and wicked. Because instead of doing justice, he acts biased. To understand the exact psychology of these people, we need to know the definition of justice.
Let us explain justice with an example.
What is justice and what is cruelty?
Suppose: There is a judge who has to decide between two parties. One of the two parties is a person whose brother has been killed. And the other party is the murderer and his father. This second party, who is the murderer and his father, is the son and grandson of the judge himself. Now, in the light of all the witnesses and evidence, it becomes clear that the murderer is the grandson of the judge. Now justice demands judgment against his son and grandson. So in this case it will be a fair decision and justice.
But if the judge, handed out bail in the love of his son and grandson by ignoring or rejecting all the arguments and evidence, then he has not done justice but followed his selfish desire. Justice is only when it follows evidence and logical arguments. Bowing to any kind of desire is not fair. Whatever will happen other than justice will be injustice and cruelty.
Faith is Justice In Fact:
Justice does not have to be done only by a judge or a great king or between people. Rather, justice has to be done by every person in every single matter of his life.
For example, if the Adhan is being called and a Muslim guy truly knows that it is the call of his Lord. So justice requires that he should get ready for the prayer as soon as he hears the Adhan. But on the other hand, there is his self-desire, which despite hearing the Adhan, urges him to sleep instead of praying at that time.
But if he neglects what is right and gives priority to his desire and falls asleep, then he is undoubtedly an unjust person who, despite knowing the facts, commits injustice. He prioritized himself over ALLAH. He does this cruelty with no one but himself.
These people are also responsible for themselves:
This is a self-indulgent decision made by a human being for himself. By putting it on others, he only makes excuses. As the kings and chiefs imposed on their forefathers. These weak but unjust people of the society who followed these chiefs blamed their chiefs and king. And say that our chiefs did this and ordered us to do the same. While the reality is that it’s their own decision to follow them because of their desires and they themselves are responsible for it. Allah SWT has described all this human psychology, behavior, and excuses in these words in the Qur’an.
And when all people will stand before Allah, the weak will say to those who used to be arrogant (in this world): Indeed, we were your followers, so can you remove some of Allah's punishment from us? They will say: If Allah had guided us, we would surely have guided you. It’s same for us whether we show intolerance or patience. There is no place for us to escape. When the judgment has been announced, Satan will say: “Indeed, Allah made a true promise to you, and I violated what I promised you, but I had no power over you, except that I invited you and you accepted my words, so don't blame me, blame yourself. I cannot help you, nor you can help me, I deny your association of me with ALLAH before. Indeed, painful punishment is for wrongdoers. (Ibrahim - 21, 22)
Result:
Our first question was:
Who are those people who, despite having both knowledge and wisdom, deny the truth and lie about Allah?
In the two articles 7 and 8, the answer is completely clear to us:
From the icons of the society who are arrogant and cruel to all the people who follow them. These are “Fasqeen” i.e. unjust and cruel. These are the ones who, despite having both knowledge and intellect, deny all the arguments of the truth and decide on injustice and lie about Allah. It means that:
Those who deny the truth and lie against Allah, are all basically “Fasqeen”. The people who do not do justice. This is what ALLAH has clearly told us about them in common.
End:
At the end of this article, there are more than one previous questions that must be clearly written so that the next article can be fluently conveyed to the readers.
One thing:
After “Who are those people?” our second question was:
2) Why do they do this?
By studying the behavior and reasons of all unrighteous people in this article, the question “Why do they do this?” is somewhat clear to us. But we need to know more because apart from the desire for power there are many other reasons due to which this unfair decision can be made. We know that only unjust people do this, but “Why do they do this?” is yet to be fully known.
And the third question was:
3) Do they use any of their authority here?
As far as the third question is concerned, it is known from the details of this article that those who are deciding injustice are making decisions anyway. So is this decision-making an authority that humans have? Is this really an authority?
Secondly:
These verses of Surah Ibrahim mentioned at the end of this article bring a new thing before us that needs to be pondered over. If Satan is influencing man’s decision, then how is man making this decision himself?
This verse shows that neither kings/chiefs are responsible for the decisions of common people, nor Satan is responsible for the decisions of mankind. All are exempted from each other. It is understood that humans are not responsible for each other’s choices because they themselves decide to follow another. And reasons are their own worldly desires.
But how is satan free from the man’s decision while he is affecting his decision?
A preview of the next articles:
In the next article, first, we will answer the second question,
- “Why do they do this?” For a complete answer, we will consider all the reasons other than power and authority in detail.
- After that, to know all the details between man and Satan we will approach the words of the Quran. In Sha ALLAH!
After filtering all these things will it be clear to us whether
“Do these people have any authority or not?”
