Say: What is the greatest in testimony? Say: Allah is the witness between me and you, and this Qur'an has been revealed to me, so that I may warn you and all whom it reaches. Do you truly testify that there are other gods with Allah? Say: I do not give this testimony. Say: He alone is a God, and indeed I am free of what you associate [with Allah].

Quran Is A Miracle And Live Speech

Quran Is A Miracle And Live Speech

In the present era, human beings specifically Muslims are suffering from a lot of miseries, misguidance, and lures. It seems that they are on the verge of drowning. There have been powerful nations before and they were given more knowledge and blessings than us. If we consider the cause of their destruction, we will be able to understand both the current situation and its solution. If we cut off our root and throw it away, this is what happens. This is ALLAH’s will what is happening to us right now. Leaving the Quran is the reason for such humiliation and degradation.  There is no doubt in it that Quran is a miracle and live speech, and connecting with Quran is the only solution to every problem.

And your Lord creates what He wills and chooses;
Not for them was the choice.
Exalted is ALLAH and high above what they associated with HIM.
(AL- QASAS – 68)

Source of knowledge:

Before interpreting the verse deeply, it is very important to know the angle and direction of thought we are going to adopt. Either it is right or not? It is undoubtedly very important for all readers including me to be accurate about this source of knowledge. We should be sure of the reasoning, logic, and arguments we are presenting here are right. To reach this authentic source we need to consider this verse itself.

  1. And your lord creates what He wills and chooses (whom He wills).
  2. Not for them was the choice.
  3. Exalted is ALLAH and high above what they associated with HIM.

One true aspect:

“And your lord creates what He wills and chooses (whom He wills)”

For the first part of the verse, there is only one aspect which is the truth (rightness).  If we ask a non-Muslim who has created him? He must know in the core of his heart that he was created by Allah. Every soul, including man, knows his Lord by heart. It is their environment and their forefathers who suppress what is in the heart, and polish the presumptions in such a way that they deny what their heart knows. And do not think about the clear and open signs. This weakness is on the part of a man who is unable to see. Otherwise, the apparent aspect (signs) and the real aspect are the same. As ALLAH SWT mentioned in this verse of the Qur’an:

Say: Who provides you sustenance from the heavens and the earth, or who is the owner of ears and eyes, and who brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living, and who manages the affairs (of the world)? So they (disbelievers) will surely say: Allah! So say: Do you then not fear (Allah)?
(Yunus-31)

That is, there is only one aspect of what Allah has described, which is truth. And this understanding is present in the heart of every person.

Apparent aspect:

“Not for them was the choice”

In the second part of this verse, one aspect is the fact and clearly mentioned by ALLAH SWT. That there is no authority for these people. While the other side is, that outwardly we think that we are the masters of our own lives and able to conquer this world with our hard work and ability. This vision is not only the belief of non-Muslims, but the majority of Muslims believe this apparent aspect to be true and are living their lives based on it.

Truth vs lie:

Remember that the difference between apparent and reality is the same as the difference between lie and truth. These are two things in opposite directions. The truth (reality) is what is described in the verse. And the lie (apparent) is what we believe that human beings must have some authority.

Based on this lie, they are trying to settle the affairs of their lives. When the base itself is a lie, then how can one avoid sufferings, pain, and difficulties? There are many questions to understand whether humans have powers or not. And the answers are either missing or not visible to us. To get to the truth, we need to ask a person or a source who knows all the answers. When talking to scholars near you, after a couple of questions, the conversation ends. And it is forbidden to discuss this topic of destiny and human will.

A heavy silence:

The main reason is, if we completely prove that “these people have no authority”, then all modern scientific theories, principles, and motivations required for action are lost. If humans have no will and power at all, then how will people be encouraged to work hard and act? So it seems better to accept that “it’s only ALLAH’s will” without contemplating deeper into the concept. It feels like a refuge in the silence over this concept and not be discussed too much. Undoubtedly, this silence is a sign of faith that even if the intellect does not understand anything, it should be accepted.

Silence caused confusion:

The problem starts when we accepted reality without questioning. And now the certainty of this concept is not there in our hearts. Our personal lives and decisions seem to be contrary to this accepted reality. The reason for this contradiction is that silence, which is full of noise and confusion. But we are suppressing it.

Because of these big question marks, there are only a few people among Muslims who are true believers. The majority are suffering from this contradiction and turmoil at one or more stages in their lives.  If we get answers, it will create the “Realization of ALLAH’s will and authority engraved in our hearts. The absence of this realization is the root cause of many personal and social issues. The only reason is the lack of the right knowledge.

Quran is a miracle and live speech:

The realization of ALLAH’s will only possible when we have strong believe on Almighty’s powers. And we need all our answers to have this much strong belief system.

  • But the problem here is, who will answer our questions?
  • Who is aware of the actual truth?

At this point, we should focus, on who is telling us the fact. We got this from the Qur’an. It means Allah himself is telling us the truth that “Not for them was the choice.” There is no doubt that Allah is All-Knowing and All-Wise and He knows everything. This means that we need to contact Allah Himself.

  • So how can one approach Allah?
  • And how can the words of Allah be heard?

Tools for communication:

This is the first obstacle that we face when we ponder something in the Qur’an and questions arise. To solve this problem let me tell you, this is only a knot. By untying it with patience, we can start the process of getting answers. To communicate with a person or entity anywhere, you need to have a message-sending device and a message-receiving device. So we have both these devices available to every Muslim.

  • Message sending device —— Salah and Du’a
  • Message receiving device —— Qur’an

Just a Knot:

Now it is not that, we don’t know how to use these devices. But the problem now is, we don’t have time to use them. The lie (apparent) has become so attractive that we only want to keep watching it. There is no curiosity and craving to know the truth and the right path anymore. But those who have been hurt by this lie (apparent concept) now eagerly want to know the truth. Because they have faced the fact, that nothing is in their hands. Now they want to know, what are they doing in this world?

  • Even if they read Quran, why are they not getting all the answers?
  • If all the solutions are present in the Qur’an, why are we not able to solve our problems?

let’s untie the knot:

We understand many things from the Qur’an, but most of the things are those, we already know. Many things in the Qur’an feel like we have nothing to do with them. Laws, commands, rewards, and punishments, all these are understandable, but still, there are many things in the QURAN that we have no idea about. Why ALLAH is even telling us these certain things?

This is not because those things are unnecessary. It’s not because this device is not right. It is simply because we lack that burning fire inside us. We don’t even have questions and if yes then not clear. We find it easier to fall asleep and get engaged in other activities. As time passes, the intensity of the pain decreases. And then there is no need for any intellectual effort and struggle. The confusion and silence remain the same. We really don’t want to create waves in this deep dark ocean anymore.  N this stillness is the sign of moral death.

Desperation is all we need:

The desperation for the right path is the only thing that enables the answers to be understood. When we have no questions, and someone starts to explain all the answers, events, and logic to us. Apart from few names and words, all his words will be meaningless to us. We won’t be able to understand what he says and why? Because we never thought of this point of view. Nor have we asked him anything. We wouldn’t be able to relate. This is the problem that is happening with us and our Qur’an. We are lacking in this desperation.

Conclusion:

Allah SWT created man and sent this Qur’an with him like a user manual with a machine. A user manual that contains solutions to all the possible problems. The Qur’an contains the words of our Lord that He said to us. Only Quran has the words of Allah and Quran is the only book free from all errors and doubts, it is protected from Satan. In other words, the Qur’an is the most authentic source of knowledge for knowing the facts told by the Quran itself. From verse 68 of Surah al-Qasas, we learned that all power belongs to Allah and we divided the first two parts of the verse as follows:

” Not for them was the choice”

(There is no authority for these people.)

L.H.S

“And your lord creates what He wills  and chooses (whom He wills)”

R.H.S

Before contemplating the verse in the same balance, we should review the whole Quran to find out how many places the same thing is written in the Quran. We must go through the effect of those verses on the heart at least once in a go.
