There Is No GOD And Will Except ALLAH
A person who belongs to any religion in the world, with whatever conscious concept of his creator, cannot deny the fact that he must die one day. No logic, science, or technology will be able to stop going back from here. The test of everyone’s life is different and the distribution of sustenance and comfort is also different. If you look around, there are signs for the wise as far as an eye can see. Nothing is happening without ALLAH’S will. Man has no control over himself, he is even not able to control his organs. All the animals, birds, and insects that are present on the face of the earth including humans. Their creator and sustainer is only one. And there is no GOD and will except ALLAH. He is the master of life and death, omnipotent and worthy of his glory to be feared.
And your Lord creates what He wills and chooses; not for them was the choice. Exalted is ALLAH and high above what they associated with HIM. (AL- QASAS – 68)
Message of the verses:
This verse, which is verse number 68 of Surah Al-Qasas, is undoubtedly a very powerful verse of the Qur’an. Where the supreme and ultimate authority of Allah Subhan wa Ta’ala has been made clear. It has been distinctly stated there is no power other than Allah SWT. To understand this verse easily, we divide it into three parts.
“And your lord creates what He wills and chooses (whom He wills)”
In the first part, Allah SWT has spoken about Himself. He has revealed ALLAH’s will, ultimate knowledge, complete power, and control.
“Not for them was the choice” (There is no authority for these people.)
In the second part, Allah has revealed the relationship between the creator and the creation. In this, we are talking about ALLAH’s creation, which is us humans. It is said that these people have no power.
“Exalted is ALLAH and high above what they associated with HIM.”
In the third part, the purity of Allah has described that HE is pure from every lie, all evil, from weakness, and neediness. Everything that is undesirable and negative, Allah Subhan wa Ta’ala is free from it.
Deep understanding of the verses:
In this verse, the second part is described as a comparison with the first one. So we can write the first two parts as the left-hand side and right-hand side for a better understanding of both.
“Not for them was the choice” | “And your lord creates what He wills and chooses (whom He wills)” |
(No Authority) | (Full Authority) |
L.H.S | R.H.S |
It is not only difficult but impossible to understand the nature of Allah SWT while being entirely present in this world with the limited reach of the human mind and intellect. But we are aware of our nature. Perhaps not everything but at least we know our emotions, feelings, knowledge, and helplessness. So, based on this data we try to solve L.H.S. If it is proved that: “There is no authority for the people.” R.H.S. will prove automatically. So we start from L.H.S.
Left- hand side (L.H.S):
“Not for them was the choice”
We all know that we are all creations and Allah SWT has created us like a human creates a painting or a robot. Although it is understood that this robot or painting cannot have any control in front of its creator (the human). Yet what a strange thing it is, that we still need to understand this relationship between ALLAH and HIS creation (humans).
Allah SWT has created many creatures and then created man and said that: this is the best creation of mine. That is, Ashraf al-Makhluqat, the most beautiful painting. After creating man and correcting him, Allah ordered his best creation before him, i.e. the angels and jinn (Satan), to prostrate before man. Which was the prostration of Taz’im (respect). It means to bow down in front of such a beautiful and excellent creation of Allah SWT because it is the best work of the Lord of the Worlds. It is described in the Holy Qur’an as:
And [mention] when We said to the angels: “Prostrate to Adam”, they prostrated except Iblees, he refused. (Tuaha-116)
Now about this best creation, Allah SWT has said that “There is no authority for these people.” That means they cannot control anything. No means none! Neither small nor big, inside or outside, there is no mastery over anything above or below. Man has no control over himself or any entity outside of himself. This is what has been explained in this verse.
There is no God and will except Allah:
Before going deep down the first two parts of the verse. Let’s understand that, the third part of the verse is part of this verse for a reason. Whether we acknowledge His Oneness and Power or not, His Self is indifferent to it and exalted. We need him, in every moment. And He is very loving. His mercy is the reason that we have this Quran between us.
ALLAH, who is our lord and pure from every mistake and evil. Not a single negative thing can be attributed to Him. He is all-knowing and wise and has said what the fact is. And that is why we are pondering only to get hikmah out of it.
